Kerikeri Discovery Tour

4 – 6 hours

Kerikeri is one of the fastest growing small towns in New Zealand. People who seek a special lifestyle head to Kerikeri.

Take a step back in time and discover Kerikeri with your guide. This small town is full of life with great attractions, art & craft stores, seasonal local produce, food and wine. Visit some of the important historical sites in Northland where early events here shaped New Zealand’s history, learn about the first Polynesian explorers’ arrival, and the 18th century European settlers, traders and whalers (Tau Iwi) who arrived in Aotearoa (NZ) and encountered Maori people.

Discover fascinating stories, see unique Maori culture, and artifacts, walk in their footsteps for a while. This tour takes you on a journey to ancient forests where 1000yr Kauri trees stand, hidden waterfalls and a 18th century trading goods store and model Maori village. We stop off for refreshments if desired or can have a gourmet lunch at a local award-winning winery. We’ll try and get it all in, so you won’t miss a thing.

Waitangi Treaty Grounds and Bay of Islands Tour.

Situated in one of the most beautiful coastal bays in New Zealand, the Bay of Islands. Waitangi Treaty grounds are nestled on one side of the harbor, near the tourist towns of Paihia and Russell. As the most visited tourist site in New Zealand, significant for the signing of two famous documents, between the Maori Chiefs and the British crown, learn why this became the birthplace of modern New Zealand. Experience the beauty of the Maori culture as seen in ornately carved buildings and ritual welcome, song and dance performance.

Saturday Market Tour

4 – 6 hours

This tour starts early on Saturday, so much to see and do, a slice of the local life scene. We spend about 45 mins wandering through the Pack house, meet and talk to farmers and growers at the market, grab a coffee or freshly squeezed juice and explore the market in Kerikeri, and be immersed in the local arts and crafts atmosphere. Enjoy a few sample food tastings. Skip across the road to a Kauri workshop for a look, discover a rare gift, or sample handmade chocolates before we go to the honey shop. We visit historical sites and nature reserves as we navigate around the local area. We have refreshment options, to visit a local eatery styled as an English pub which has a range of special craft beers to sample with lunch or as we travel stop off for a wine tasting, then finish with handmade blueberry ice cream.
